Inner Camagüey hotels

Camagüey is Cuba’s largest province, located in the center-east of the country, flanked by the spectacular Jardines del Rey Archipelago in the north and the isolated Jardines de la Reina Archipelago in the south. Devoid of mountains of importance, the region has a rich History of preference for cattle ranching over sugarcane. About 35 kilometers southeast of the provincial capital lies Sierra del Chorrillo, a protected nature area that works as a bird reserve for tocororos (Cuban trogons), cartacubas (Cuban indigenous tody), Cuban parakeets, etc. Florida municipality, 40 kilometers northwest of Camagüey city on the way to Ciego de Ávila, is an excellent overnighter spot for passing-by travelers around central Cuba, wanting to avoid lodging in the labyrinthine streets of Camagüey city.
