Villa Pinares de Mayarí
The beautiful Pinares de Mayarí Village is notable for its cool alpine microclimate, making air conditioning systems unnecessary. The rooms are comfortable wooden cabins perfectly placed on one of Cuba’s largest pine forests, in Parque Nacional La Mesura. It is a favorite destination for watching endemic birds and enjoying eco-tourism. A guided 1.2km hike through fecund tropical forest leads to the Salto del Guayabo, the highest waterfall in Cuba (60 meters high). There’s also a large restaurant, bar, tennis court and horse riding rental.
Facilities and services
The Pinares de Mayarí Village stands at a 700 meters elevation 30 km south of Mayarí, between the Altiplanicie de Nipe and Sierra de Cristal, on Holguin mountains, a few kilometers away from Santiago de Cuba border.
