The Plaza Hotel is one of the more historic in Habana Vieja: Albert Einstein and Isadora Duncan were guests here. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, and quite a few have narrow private balconies from where Central Park views are a gift. The lobby is worth checking out, whether you’re staying here or not, for its intricate mosaic tile floor, bas-relief trim and stained-glass atrium skylights. We also recommend an afternoon drink at the rooftop Solarium Bar, with great views of Havana and the neighboring Bacardi building.
The Plaza Hotel is located very near to Central Park, right on the border between Centro Habana and Habana Vieja. It is situated close to Granma Memorial and the Building of Cuban Arts from the Museum of Fine Arts.
